The New York Giants two best wide receivers, Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, were not in attendance for Wednesday’s practice at the Timex Performance Center. Cruz’s absence was not a surprise, because he hasn’t signed a contract for the 2013 season. But Nicks was expected to be on the field with his teammates.

Giants new LB Aaron Curry admits the money made him lose motivation
Aaron Curry never lacked motivation during a four-year career at Wake Forest in which he received the Butkus Award as the nation’s finest linebacker in 2008, but something happened when he went to the NFL.
I remember NFL Scouts like Mike Mayock saying that he was the can’t miss pick, and he turned out to be one of the biggest busts in Seahawks history. He has since been cut by...

New York Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks threw a curveball at his coach Tom Coughlin and fans who thought he would be at offseason training activities. His absence left Coughlin speechless and very unhappy. The Giants two...
Giants’ Hakeem Nicks is taking on a leadership role with young receiving corps
New York Giants receiver Hakeem Nick is qualified to become a leader for the team.
He’s won a Super Bowl with them, fought through injuries, and now he’s the oldest player in the group.
The Giants think a lot of Nicks, so much so they won’t pay the ultra productive Victor Cruz more that what they will eventually re-sign Nicks for.
They see him as the leader of the receiving...
Giants’ defense regressed under Perry Fewell’s leadership
Since 2010, the New York Giants’ defense has gone from being a top ten unit to one of the worst defenses in the NFL in 2012, ranked as low as 31st overall. It also doesn’t help that Osi Umenyiora left for the Falcons without many options to replace his production. Justin Tuck and Corey Webster are getting older. Antrel Rolle is overpaid and the linebacker position continues to...
