Wilmington Blue Rocks Pitchers Sugar Ray Marimon and Yordano Ventura Named to Carolina League All Star Roster

The one sure strong point for the Blue Rocks this season has been its pitching and that was reflected in Sugar Ray Marimon and Yordano Ventura being selected for the 2012 Carolina League All Star roster that will play against California League All Stars June 19, 2012 in Winston Salem, NC Sugar Ray, who was named an All Star last year at Low A Kane County, has a record of 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA in 13 games and eight starts. The team is 6-2 when he starts. He currently leads the league with a 0.95 WHIP and second in ERA and batting average against with a .192 clip. He has worked 61.1 innings, allowing just 42 hits and 16 walks while striking out 54 hitters.
